It is almost mid quarter already! Wow! So that means it's time for a project update! My partner Taylynn and I are on the right track for finishing our project on time. We are done filming, we are working on transcribing, and we're almost ready to start working on our script.
We are doing a news story about a Community Garden in Kalihiwai. We filmed during Parent Teacher Conference week when we got out of school at 11:30. We went to the Community Garden, interviewed three people and shot all of our broll. So we are done with a going out and filming for this quarter.
Since we have all of our interviews done, that doesn't mean we get to sit back and cruise. We have to transcribe! I have finished transcribing one interview and Taylynn is almost finished with transcribing another. That leaves us with one more interview to transcribe. According to our planner, we should be done transcribing on the 24th and start our scripts on the 25th. So we are on the right track.
As you can tell by the last paragraph, it's almost time to start our scripts. We need to turn in our scripts before Thanksgiving Break if we want to get feedback and revisions as soon as possible. Taylynn and I are a little ahead of the game, so we have lots of time to start working on our script and finding our 5 best sound bites.
In conclusion, we are on the right track to turning in our project in on time. We are done filming, almost done transcribing, and we should be starting our scripts anytime soon. I hope to turn in as great project this quarter!
